GPS tracking

We're always looking for ways in which new technology can be used to deliver better research.

That's why we've invested in portable GPS tracking units; they're unobtrusive so respondents can carry them round for a few days before we download their travel logs or they can be fitted to vehicles to monitor travel patterns over a prolonged period.

The data are then overlaid onto an Ordnance Survey map, giving a fascinating visual record of a person or vehicle's movements and travel behaviour.
